Nedbank Top Empowerment Conference 2026 Set to Drive Measurable Transformation in South Africa

From 17 to 18 June 2026, the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg will be the place to be for anyone passionate about South Africa’s economic transformation. The Nedbank Top Empowerment Conference 2026 is back, and this year it’s extra special; it’s celebrating 25 years of the Top Empowerment initiative.

With the theme "The Next Phase of Transformation: Inclusive, Investable, Impactful,” the conference is all about moving beyond promises and intentions. It’s focused on making real, measurable change happen in Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE).

This two-day event offers both in-person and virtual access, so more people can join the conversation from anywhere. Leaders from government, business, and civil society will come together to share ideas, challenges, and solutions that can steer South Africa’s transformation journey forward.

Some of the voices you can expect to hear include Kaizer Moyane from ASISA, Nasreen Hisham of Prescient Investment Management, Nompendulo Mkhatshwa from the Presidency, Ravi Naidoo of the Youth Employment Service, Stanley Grau from the Association of B-BBEE Professionals, and Dr. Tabea Tshesane, former Chairperson of the Commission for Employment Equity.

The conference will cover important topics such as

  • How public and private sectors can work together to create more jobs for young people

  • Using artificial intelligence to support long-term transformation in financial services

  • Building sustainable and inclusive supply chains through ESG and smarter procurement

  • Celebrating 25 years of progress with the launch of the Impumelelo: Top Empowerment Companies publication

This event is a call to action. It’s about holding each other accountable and unlocking investment that will truly transform lives and communities.
